Discover miles of riveting vistas, and a fun wild west lifestyle

Utah brings contemporary meaning to the phrase: ‘wild west’. With stunning canyonlands and mile-after-mile of starkly beautiful vistas, Utah boasts bustling cities and charming rural towns each with a character of their own.

For a great national park road-trip, be sure to include the Mighty 5 (Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef & Zion), five stunning national parks found all in one state.

Salt Lake City is the state capital and by far the largest city. It enjoys a pretty mountain backdrop as well as a cosmopolitan variety of art galleries, museums, restaurants and bars to suit every taste. It’s a regular stop on a number of our escorted tour itineraries.

Bryce Canyon National Park is arguably the most famous - the undulating copper-coloured landscape ensure some of the most spectacular sights you’ll find anywhere in America – make sure you take your camera to get some snaps. Just over an hour's drive south is Zion National Park, a land of giants, with towering cliffs shadowing the Virgin River which runs long the canyon floor.

If you’re looking for some adventure, why not try an active holiday in Moab? The spectacular scenery makes it a breathtaking place to experience everything from hiking, kayaking, four-wheel-drive tours and mountain biking - also available within Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, both within a 45 minute drive.

Capitol Reef National Pak sits in-between its four counterparts in central-southern Utah. It is the least well-known of the national parks but has incredible other-worldly view across huge sandstone rock formations in its Cathedral Valley section, and spectacular coloured cliffs.
