If you are lucky enough to be visiting Zion National Park in Utah you are probably on one of our USA tours or indeed, a USA self-drive holiday. As Utah's oldest national park, designated in 1919, the park is known for its incredible canyons and spectacular views. Kolob Canyons is a unique experience – don’t forget your camera.
Obviously the outdoor adventure is a part of the Zion National Park experience, with opportunities to trek, horse-ride, back-pack and cycle. You can also try canyoning in the most beautiful scenic areas or climb or boat along the Virgin River.

Famous hikes including The Narrows, Subway, and Angels Landing attract adventure enthusiasts from around the world although hiking possibilities are endless. Zion National Park is open year-round and in our opinion offers beautiful but different aspects on each visit.
Birding enthusiasts enjoy the peace of the area, especially the wilderness and solitude of the northwest corner of Zion National Park. The park has two visitor centres that are open throughout the year and most park facilities are located in the Zion Canyon area – although there are four main sections in Zion National Park.
The main nearby towns for restaurants include Springdale and Hurricane (“This evening we dine in Hurricane” – has a ring to it doesn’t it?), otherwise there are burgers and pizza places at Zion East Entrance.
