Cloudland Canyon State Park is simply stunning. Located on the western edge of Lookout Mountain, the Park straddles a deep gorge and offers picturesque hiking. Savannah is a beautiful and historic city that manages to feel like a much smaller town. It offers steamboat river cruises and some of the most beautiful architecture to be found in the state. Lake Blue Ridge is a 3,290-acre lake that surrounds an area that includes 90 national forest campsites, swimming and picnic areas.
When to go to Georgia
Georgia enjoys mild winters and hot summers. The Chattahoochee River divides the state into distinct separate climatic regions with the colder mountain region to the northwest. Average temperatures vary widely and winter is generally mild with little snowfall.
