Fly to Seattle and transfer independently to your hotel, where you can meet your fellow travellers and your guide for the week – a specialist in the region and craft beer aficionado

Day 2
Seattle
In the morning you’ll be taken on a city tour of Seattle, a relaxed port city with colourful neighbourhoods and iconic attractions such as the Space Needle and Pioneer Square. This afternoon will be spent enjoying beer tastings from the massive array of craft breweries in Seattle – sample the excellent quality IPA’s, stouts and more. This evening you’re free to explore the many restaurants available in this vibrant city – with influences from Asia and steeped in Native American tradition, there is something for everyone.

Day 3
Seattle - Portland
Being the day with a tour by a local expert of Pike Place Market – meet the markets lively characters and hear their memorable stories. You’ll savour tastings at seven different market stalls, see cheese being made and also the original Starbucks café. It’s then time to get on the road and travel south to Portland, where you’ll have chance for some free time to freshen up and have dinner, then take a unique evening tour – a Paranormal Exploration. You’ll be given real ghost-hunting equipment and will visit known ghostly places for an actual paranormal investigation.

Day 4
Portland
Portland is located where the Columbia and Willamette rivers meet, with the backdrop of snow-capped Mount Hood. Enjoy an orientation tour of the city and its iconic gardens. This afternoon you’ll have a choice of two great excursions. Either join a cycling tour that will take you to local craft breweries or enjoy a walking tour to some of downtowns most unique restaurants, food emporiums and food trucks.

Day 5
Portland – Columbia River Gorge - Bend
You’re heading out of the city today and to experience the breath-taking beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Visit Columbia River Gorge and experience the power and beauty of nature close-up at Multnomah Falls – over 600 feet drop of cascading water. There will of course be a stop at a brewery to sample beer using the local malts, hops and fresh fruits. Then continue to Bend – a town know for its richly diverse culture, award winning dining and boutique shopping.

Day 6
Bend – Crater Lake - Ashland
Today you’ll visit the spectacular Crater Lake National Park. Created by a collapsed volcano after a violent eruption over 7,000 years ago, it’s the deepest lake in the US. The lake is fed only by rain and snow so it’s fantastically pure and a stunning shade of blue. There will be a leisurely hike along the lakeside to admire in the views and take a few photos. You’ll then continue to Ashland for the evening where you can enjoy an evening at leisure exploring the galleries and restaurants. The town is ranked in the top ten “Best Small Art Towns in America” so you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Day 7
Ashland – Eugene – Cannon Beach
This morning you’ll tour the city of Eugene, home to the university of Oregon and a prominent arts community. After a short walking tour you’ll stop on the route of Eugene’s Ale Trail. Ultra pure water from the McKenzie River and an emphasis on local and regional ingredients from hops and grains makes these local beers bold and full of flavour. This evening you’ll arrive in the coastal community of Cannon Beach which combines the inspiring beauty of the Oregon Coast with a picture perfect village by the sea. Tonight you’ll enjoy a final night dinner paired with local brews overlooking the magnificent Haystack Rock.

Day 8
Cannon Beach - Seattle
Start the day with a walk on the beach to see the dramatic shoreline rock formations including Haystack Rock, one of Oregons most recognisable landmarks, rising 235 feet above the shoreline. Cannon Beach also offers the quintessential small beach town experience. You’ll have time to wander the picturesque lanes and courtyards of downtown Cannon Beach, to discover art galleries and unique boutique shops. Early afternoon you’ll drive to Seattle where you can either be dropped off downtown if you’d like to spend a few more days here, or at the airport for your flight home.
