Visit Nashville, Memphis and New Orleans as you revel in the sounds of the blues, jazz, country, and rock ‘n’ roll.

Spend two nights in Memphis, "birthplace of the blues," experience award-winning barbecue and tour Elvis Presley’s Graceland. Enjoy reserved seats at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee and a backstage tour. Tour historic RCA Studio B and see where country legends recorded hit songs. Experience New Orleans, home to the French Quarter where the world’s great jazz musicians reside.

Day 1

Fly to New Orleans

Arrive in New Orleans, the Jazz Capital of the World

Day 2

New Orleans

Today choose between a walking tour of the French Quarter or set out on a coach tour of the city. On the walking tour you will see the majestic St Louis Cathedral, and then continue to the bustling French Marketplace, where you’ll explore Pirates Alley, the Cabildo, the Presbytere and the Pontalba. On the motorcoach tour you will begin on Esplanade Avenue, see St Louis Cemetery which hold some of the most elaborate crypts found in the city’s cemeteries. Then take the romantic road along the shoreline of Lake Pontchartrain, past luxurious mansions and the universities of Tulane and Loyola. On both tours you will stop en route to enjoy a New Orleans favourite – beignets – delicious fried choux pastry. Tonight you will learn how to cook New Orleans style with a unique cooking demonstration at the New Orleans School of Cooking. Following dinner, enjoy a jazz revue at a local French Quarter jazz club.

Day 3

New Orleans

Journey through Louisiana’s swamp on a cruise with a fun commentary by your captain. Learn about the history and ecology of this fascinating ecosystem while keeping an eye out for wildlife including bald eagles, herons, turtles and alligators. You will see the houses of the local Cajuns who have made their homes here in the bayous, only accessible by boat. Return to New Orleans and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 4

New Orleans - Memphis

Travel north to Memphis, the birthplace of Blues, Rock n Roll and Soul. This evening you will enjoy delicious Southern cuisine along with some of the best live music in town.

Day 5

Memphis

Embark on a unique tour of the city of Memphis, when local musicians will board the coach and tell the story of Memphis’ musical heritage and history as you view the city’s many highlights. Then, visit Graceland, the palatial home of Elvis Presley. Elvis’ 14-acre estate contains his original business office, trophy building and the Meditation Garden, where Elvis and members of his family have been laid to rest. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy this city’s vast musical offerings on your own. Enjoy the live music that may fill the open air or spend the evening exploring Beale Street’s vibrant musical clubs.

Day 6

Memphis - Nashville

Journey to Nashville, the Music Capital of the World. Go back in time during a tour of the sprawling Belle Meade Plantation and indulge in a culinary and wine tasting experience. This evening, take your reserved seat at the renowned Grand Ole Opry, where a live radio programme has been broadcast since 1925

Overnight: Gaylord Opryland Resort (Breakfast and lunch included)

Day 7

Nashville

Enjoy a sightseeing city tour with a local guide when you will view the State Capitol, Music Row and the Parthenon. Next explore the Country Music Hall of Fame, the largest museum of popular music in the world! then visit the Ryman Auditorium and the historic RCS Studio B for an up close look at Nashvilles oldest remaining recording studio where Elvis Presley and Dolly Parton recorded their classic hits.

Day 8

Nashville - Tour Ends

This very special tour now comes to an end, but you’ll be humming the tunes for a long time to come
