The exclusive Belmond El Encanto has been lovingly restored from its former 1920’s glory to become one of the West Coast’s most celebrated resorts. The original Spanish-Colonial and Californian design are highlighted throughout the boutique property’s 92 beautifully-appointed suites and bungalows, gorgeous dining terrace and spectacular garden walkways, whilst the additions of a lavish infinity-edge pool and sumptuous spa ensure a dose of pure modern luxury.

Each spacious bungalow and suite offers a serene hideaway feel, with lots of airy living space and elegant décor, showcasing spectacular views across Santa Barbara from large windows and private balconies. We think the bungalows are a great choice for couples or small families, with the choice of a king or double beds, and a wonderful selection of luxurious amenities including a marble-heated bathroom, deep soaking tub and Nespresso coffee machine, whilst the suites are ideal for larger families or those in search of a more indulgent living space, boasting a cosy fireplace, separate lounge and rainforest shower.

Belmond El Encanto is located in the beautiful coastal town of Santa Barbara, which is 90-minutes north of Los Angeles.

Just five minutes from the hotel property, you’ll find the 18th-Century Mission Santa Barbara, adorned by seven acres of luscious gardens and stunning scenery, whilst the spectacular beachfront and trendy downtown area are reachable in just ten minutes.
