The Plaza New York

Overview

The century-old Plaza is synonymous with luxury in New York, as one of the city’s most storied hotels. Located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Central Park, it has drawn legions of Hollywood stars, dignitaries, royalty and the like. This is where Truman Capote famously threw his Black and White Ball, where F. Scott Fitzgerald staged part of “The Great Gasby,” and the spot actors Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas wed. This iconic landmark emphasizes top-notch service, with white-glove butlers provided for every suite and guest room, while the in-room portable touch screens allow guests to turn down the lights or contact the concierge with the press of a finger. Highlights include the sophisticated ambiance, lavish Palm Court and the Champagne Bar that graces the lobby, as well as the decadent accommodations, complete with spacious marble bathrooms. The Rose Club, which serves classic and trendy craft cocktails overlooking Fifth Avenue, has become a hotspot for twenty-something nightlife goers.
