8nt Tour Begins San Francisco, Ends Los Angeles: 1nt San Francisco; 1nt Yosemite National Park; 2nts Las Vegas; 1nt Flagstaff; 1nt Phoenix; 2nts Los Angeles

This 8 night tour of America’s West starts in stunning San Francisco and journeys through Yosemite National Park to Las Vegas, then on to the majestic Grand Canyon before continuing to Phoenix , and finally ending up in Los Angeles, where you’ll have ample time to explore many of it’s attractions.

Day 1

Friday – Fly from the UK to San Francisco
On arrival transfer independently to your hotel.

Day 2

Saturday – San Francisco – Yosemite National Park
Motorcoach tour commences. Joining passengers should meet in the lobby at 07:30 hours for an 08:00 hours departure. Depart San Francisco for the drive to Yosemite National Park, which is home to a truly spectacular collection of waterfalls, most famously Bridalveil Falls, as well as meadows and forests that include groves of giant sequoias, the planet’s largest living things. Within the park, you will see the majestic, glacial-shaped granite formations of El Capitan (called “Shooting Star” by the Native Americans) and Half Dome, which rise from the valley floor. Overnight in the Yosemite Gateway Area.

Day 3

Sunday – Yosemite Gateway Area – Las Vegas
Today, journey through the mountains and the Mojave Desert. Continue on to Las Vegas, the glittering man-made entertainment capital of the world. Once an oasis en route to California, Las Vegas began as a Mormon settlement and boomed during the silver rush. Today Las Vegas is one of the great gambling capitals of the world.

Day 4

Monday – Las Vegas – Zion National Park*(optional) – Las Vegas
Today is at leisure for you to enjoy the many attractions that Las Vegas has to offer. Perhaps you want to join with some fellow travelers into an (optional) excursion to nearby Zion National Park or
Just enjoy world-class shopping, bustling casinos, and Broadway caliber shows in Vegas. You might simply stroll the famous Strip taking in its amazing sights and sounds, or lie by the pool at your hotel, soaking up the sun. Make sure to bring your appetite, as Las Vegas boasts some of the country’s top restaurants.

Day 5

Tuesday – Las Vegas – Grand Canyon – Flagstaff
Depart Las Vegas for the majestic Grand Canyon, one of the seven great natural wonders of the world. Stop at the Desert View Tower on the South Rim to fully experience this mile-deep canyon, plunging gorges, rising spires, extinct volcanoes and below the rim, the winding Colorado
River. Overnight in Flagstaff.

Day 6

Wednesday – Flagstaff – Oak Creek Canyon – Sedona – Phoenix
Journey this morning to the new age mecca of Sedona, which is located in the heart of the lush Sonoran Desert, the richest, most biologically diverse desert ecosystem in the Americas. Along theway, you will drive through Oak Creek Canyon, spiraling up and around giant red rock monoliths with breathtaking vistas around every curve. Situated in a unique geological area, Sedona is encircled by distinctive red rock monoliths with such names as Cathedral and Coffee Pot. Spend the afternoon exploring Sedona’s eclectic shops and galleries, which exemplify the town’s world-wide reputationas a spiritual center.Then continue on to Phoenix, with its signature desert architecture,collection of shops, boutiques, and museums. You will be amazed by the desert vegetation in this area; the saguaro cactus is just one of many unique plants.

Day 7

Thursday – Phoenix – Los Angeles
Return this morning to California. Continue through the Mojave Desert to Los Angeles, where you will take a comprehensive tour including bustling downtown, as well as parts of posh Beverly Hills, glamorous Hollywood, and Santa Monica.

Day 8

Friday – Los Angeles (optional Universal StudiosTour)
Today either spend the day further exploring Los Angeles at your leisure, or perhaps take an optional full-day tour visiting the world’s largest movie studio and theme park: Universal Studios, where Hollywood puts you so close you can hear the cameras rolling.

Day 9

Saturday – Los Angeles Departure
Tour concludes upon check out from your hotel. Independent transfers back to the airport for your return flight.*
