Tour Information

Start with a stay in Calgary before setting off for two days of rail travel on the Rocky Mountaineer, passing through magnificent scenery in Canada’s west and the Canadian Rockies. The RedLeaf coach service lets you enjoy the views with extended legroom. After disembarking in Vancouver and exploring the city, head to Seattle to board the Norwegian Star to cruise up to Alaska. NCL’s exclusive Freestyle Cruising® means that if want to walk on a glacier- you can. And there’s no problem if you want to watch whales or check out the amazing scenery. But, if you’d rather be winning in the casino or relaxing in the spa, you can do that too. This style of cruising allows you to experience what you want, when you want.

Day 1

Tuesday - London - Calgary
Fly to Calgary and transfer independently to your four star hotel in downtown Calgary.

Day 2-3

Wednesday/Thursday - Rocky Mountaineer
Join the Rocky Mountaineer for two days travelling through the Canadian west and the Rockies from Calgary to Vancouver, with all travel during daylight hours. Wednesday night is spent in a hotel in Kamloops, and Thursday night in Vancouver.

Day 4

Friday - Vancouver - Seattle
Travel from Vancouver to Seattle where you will spend the night before boarding your cruise. On a clear day the Seattle skyline is stunning. On rainy days there is much to do and see under cover. Take a ferry across the Sound or check out the view atop the Space Needle.
Overnight Seattle

Day 5

Saturday - Embark on the Norwegian Star Depart 4pm
Transfer to pier for embarkation on the Norwegian Star. Due to security reasons, all guests must be on board 2 hours before sailing.

Day 6

Sunday - Cruise the Inside Passage
Travel though epic scenery, with glaciated mountains, countless islands, roaring waterfalls and virgin forests.

Day 7

Monday - Ketchikan Arrive 7am Depart 3pm
Just three miles long by three miles wide, Ketchikan is Alaska’s first city is a lively place. Walk the old boardwalk along Ketchikan Creek in search of shops and cafes or visit the replica totem poles which are on display at Totem Bight State Historical Park.

Day 8

Tuesday - Juneau Arrive 7am Depart 1.30pm
Quite possibly the most beautiful state capital of all with Mt. Juneau and Mt. Roberts in the background. Take time to visit its scenic attractions, including one of the world’s only drive-to glaciers, the Mendenhall or shop in the historical district with buildings dating back to the early 1900’s.
Tuesday - Cruise Sawyer Glacier
Cruise to the Sawyer Glacier, where mountains meet, creating a spectacular scene of glaciers and huge icebergs.

Day 9

Wednesday - Skagway Arrive 7am Depart 5pm
Gateway to the Klondike Gold Rush in the Yukon. Hike to the 300 feet high Reid Falls from the cemetery in town or visit downtown Broadway where you will experience a true sense of frontier, boomtown life.

Day 10

Thursday - Prince Rupert Arrive 4pm Depart 10pm
Prince Rupert was once a major fishing and timber port. Fish, hike, white-water kayak or canoe. It’s up to you.

Day 11

Friday - At Sea

Day 12

Saturday - Seattle Arrive 8am
Arrive back in Seattle in the early morning. Disembarkation usually begins 2 hours after docking. Transfer to the airport for your return flight.

Day 13

Sunday
Arrive back after your overnight flight.
