Day 1

Fly into Washington, DC and transfer to your hotel independently - see our recommended hotels in the hotel tab for more information. Take a leisurely evening stroll to orientate yourself and enjoy dinner in one of the city's many excellent restaurants.

Day 2

You have a full day to enjoy the sights and we can book various tours and attractions to help you get the most from the city. If you're feeling energetic you could take the a bike tour or simply hop on a bus to see all of the sights such as The National Mall, Lincoln's Memorial, Washington Monument and the Reflecting Pool. We actually recommend booking "The Sightseeing Pass" which combines all of these things, allowing you to choose from Big Bus Tours, Unlimited Biking Capital Sites Bike Tour, the International Spy Museum and Spirit of Mount Vernon Cruise. After a packed day you'll deserve and cocktail and then dinner in one of the diverse neighbourhoods. Not to mention over 17 Smithosnian museums throughout DC to explore.

Day 3

It's worth an early start this morning to fit in a few more of the fabulous sights of Washington. Why not head to Georgetown to browse the great boutiques and enjoy brunch in one of the lovely cafes or restaurants. It has many scenic pathways overlooking the river. Or how about hopping on the metro and visiting Arlington and its historic cemetery? Join a guided tour whilst you're there and learn about the American Civil War.

Day 4

Depending on your plans, head to the airport or Union Station independently for your onward journey either home or to one of the other east coast destinations such as New York, Boston or Philadelphia.
