The views here are breath-taking and well worth heading out in pursuit of. Hike from the Mesa to the Santa Ynez Mountains for some truly amazing panoramic views and a chance to spot some of the wildlife. You can find guides and maps relatively easily within the city, particularly downtown, giving you chance to carve out your own route.

Wine Tasting and Tours

Wine is produced locally here, thanks to the endless sunshine, so be sure to try some while you’re here. There are plenty of wineries in the downtown area – known as the urban wine trail – where you can sample the offerings, or you could also opt to go on one of the daily wine tours of the wine country.
