6nt Tour Begins & Ends New York: 2nts New York; 1nt Niagara Falls; 1nt Harrisburg; 2nts Washington DC

Tour the great eastern cities of the USA, with a chance to see scenic countryside on the way. You’ll start in New York for a two-night stay in the Big Apple, and then travel by deluxe motorcoach first to Niagara Falls. After marvelling at this incredible natural sight, with lunch at the Skylon Tower high above the waters, the tour will continue to the Finger Lakes region, stopping overnight in scenic Corning. Then it’s through the Appalachian Mountains and along the Susquehanna River to the Gettysburg battlefield site. Move onto Washington DC, with two nights in the nation’s capital and a chance to tour this fascinating city and see many of its famous monuments and museums. Head back northwards via Philadelphia to return to New York at the end of this eventful tour of the American east.

Day 1

UK - New York
Arrive New York City and transfer independently to your hotel. Meet your tour director between 14.00 and 20.00.

New York Sightseeing
This morning enjoy a city tour of New York which includes some of the most famous sights of Manhattan. Catch glimpses of the famous skyline as you absorb the bustle and energy of the Big
Apple. The afternoon and evening are at your leisure. Your escort will assist you in making plans.

Day 3

New York – Niagara Falls
Motorcoach tour commences. Today drive across the state of New York by Binghamton and through the Finger Lakes Country to breathtaking Niagara Falls. Indulge in a bit of wine-tasting at Watkins Glen, on the shores of Lake Seneca, named for the Seneca Indian Nation. Spend the evening at the romantic Niagara Falls.

Day 4

Niagara Falls – Amish Country
This morning you will have time to explore the awesome natural wonder that is Niagara Falls. Ride into the falls aboard the Maid of the Mist (optional), stroll along Table Rock to view the thundering waters of the Horseshoe Falls. Join us on an optional trip to Skylon Tower for lunch at its revolving restaurant. Skylon Tower, hovering 775 feet above Niagara gorge, features an observation deck that affords views of an 8,000 mile area, truly, almost as far as the eye
can see. Depart Niagara and travel into Amish Country for overnight.

Day 5

Amish Country – Gettysburg – Washington, D.C.
This morning travel through the Appalachian Mountains along the picturesque Susquehanna River, the longest river on the American East Coast. This afternoon, visit the historic Gettysburg
Civil War National Battleground, site of the largest battle ever fought on American soil, and the place where Abraham Lincoln gave his famous address in 1863. Afterwards, you will journey to
the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. Enjoy a memorable evening tour in this exciting city. (optional)

Day 6

Washington, D.C.
Enjoy a city tour with such highlights as the U.S. Capitol Building, Supreme Court, Library of Congress, the F.B.I. Building, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the White House
and Arlington National Cemetery, site of the John F. Kennedy Memorial. Spend the remainder of the day exploring some of the many museums comprising the Smithsonian Institute.

Day 7

Washington, D.C. – Philadelphia – New York
Further sightseeing as we depart Washington, D.C. to Philadelphia, the city of Brotherly Love, where we will see Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell before returning to New York City at approximately 6pm.
Independent transfers back to the airport for your return flight.
If returning from New York today a late evening departure flight is required

Arrival back to the UK
