Details

Day 1

Seattle
Fly to Seattle and transfer independently to a four star downtown hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2

Seattle - depart 4.00pm
There is time in the morning to visit Seattle’s landmark Space Needle or stroll down to Pike Place Market, where hundreds of farm and craft stall sell their wares, and street performers entertain visitors. Join the Norwegian Pearl in the afternoon to set sail at 4pm.

Day 3

Spend the day getting to know the Norwegian Pearl and relaxing at sea.

Day 4

San Francisco - arrive 8am – depart 6pm
Arrive in San Francisco, with time to explore one of the USA’s favourite cities. Walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, head for lunch in Chinatown, cross over to Alcatraz or visit Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39 with its basking sea lions.

Day 5

A day cruising at sea.

Day 6

Los Angeles - arrive 8am – depart 4pm
Los Angeles, in sunny Southern California, is America’s second largest city, and a sprawling metropolis of many distinct neighbourhoods. Tourist hotspots include Venice Beach, Beverly Hills and of course Hollywood itself, home to the entertainment industry.

Day 7

Day at sea.

Day 8

Cabo San Lucas - arrive 8am - depart 4pm
Cabo San Lucas is a fashionable resort on the southern tip of Baja California, surrounded by desert and a rugged coastline. It features an elegant colonial-era centre and attractions like cactus gardens, a glass-blowing centre, and many waterfront bars and restaurants.

Day 9

Puerto Vallarta - arrive 8.30am - depart 4pm
Stop off in Puerto Vallarta, on Mexico’s west coast, for a trip to the old town, with its impressive City Hall and the Cathedral of the Lady of Guadalupe. You can also see the homes of Elizabeth Taylor and the late Richard Burton at the ex-pat community of Gringo Gulch.

Day 10-11

Acapulco - arrive 12.00pm; overnight - depart 12.00am
Stop at El Mirador, above La Quebrada, to watch the world famous cliff divers, before dropping anchor at Acapulco itself, passing the impressive resort hotels of Acapulco Diamante. There is plenty of time to head into town to enjoy the resort’s beaches and legendary nightlife.

Day 12-13

At sea.

Day 14

Panama Canal daylight transit
The highlight of the trip is today’s daylight transit through the Panama Canal. This shortcut between the Pacific and Atlantic opened in 1914 after several aborted attempts and consists of linked channels, widened rivers, artificial lakes and locks.

Day 15

Cartegena, Colombia - arrive 9am - depart 5pm
Cartagena is an important port on north west Columbia on the Caribbean Sea. It was founded by the Spanish in 1533 and was used to export the vast hordes of treasure they took from the interior. It still retains many historic buildings and attractions.

At sea.

Day 17

Oranjestad – arrive 8am – depart 5pm
Oranjestad, the capital of Aruba in the Netherland Antilles, is full of charm and best explored on foot, with a palm-lined central avenue running between pastel-painted Dutch-style buildings. The town all has many markets, boutiques and designer shops.

Day 18

Willemstad – arrive 8am – depart 5pm
Willemstad, on the island of Curacao, is the capital of the Netherland Antilles, and is a fascinating town with centuries of history and Dutch-style waterfront houses. Its old floating footbridge hinges open to let boats through and the historic town centre forms the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Caribbean.

Day 19-20

At sea.

Day 21

Miami – arrive 8am
Arrive in Miami and disembark around two hours after docking before transferring to the airport to catch your return flight.
