Overview

New York and Boston is a classic combination, and really is the perfect twin centre - its just a short flight to east coast USA an easy train ride between the two cities, and you'll having contrasting exeperiences in both places. Boston is filled with history, with the Freedom Trail winding through the city. a great way of to discover this on foot. The bars and restaurants are legendary, and there are numerous breweries including the Samual Adams Boston Beer Company. If seafood is your thing, then you'll love the Clam Chowder and Lobster Rolls, if you've a sweet tooth then try out the Boston cream pie and Cannoli, the traditionalists will love Boston Baked Beans and the local fish & chips.

You'll then board a southbound Amtrak train which takes around three and a half hours into central Manhattan - you'll enjoy the ride after all your exertions in Boston! Then its time to explore New York - ascend the Empire State Building, stroll Central Park and then shop until its time to sample one or two of the great bars and diners. (TM)

Day 1

Fly to Boston

Arrive in Boston and transfer independently to your hotel for a three night stay at the Boston Park Plaza or similar. We can tailormade this holiday to have different hotels and different durations in either city.

Days 2 & 3

Boston

A couple of days to explore the sights of Boston and enjoy the famed hospitality.

Day 4

Train to New York

Transfer independently to the station and board the Amtrak train to New York Penn Station. Journey time is around three and a half hours, enough time for a snooze and to gather your energy before you arrive in Manhattan. Check into the Fitzpatrick Grand Central or similar hotel, for three nights.

Days 5 & 6

New York

There's so much to do in New York you'll be spoiled for choice. Just let us know if you'd like some advice and we're happy to book entrance to attractions such as the Empire State Building or a hop-on hop-off bus tour.

Day 7

Fly home

Transfer independently to the airport for your flight home
