Day 1

Boston

Arrive into Boston and transfer independently to your hotel, settle in for your overnight stay. The remainder of the day can be spent exploring the historic sights of Boston or heading out for a gentle stroll along the waterfront before meeting with your group and tour guide for a welcome reception in the evening.

Day 2

Boston – Burlington

Discover the essence of Boston by traversing segments of the Freedom Trail. Wander through Boston Common, the Massachusetts State House, and the Granary Burying Ground, dating back to 1660. Explore the Old State House and Faneuil Hall, pivotal sites in American history. Follow brick and cobblestone streets to delve into the American Revolution's story. Continue to Lexington and Concord, where the Revolutionary War ignited. Later, journey through Vermont's scenic landscapes and quaint towns, immersing yourself in New England's charm and stay in Burlington for the next two nights.

Day 3

Burlington

Embark on a culinary adventure amidst the breathtaking vistas of New England. In Northfield, Vermont, savour the flavours of the East Coast at Green Mountain Girls Farm. Delight in a Be My Guest Experience, tasting local products while discovering the art of sustainable farming. Learn firsthand about regenerative practices and the care of free-range animals and organic vegetables. After a farmhouse lunch, cruise along Lake Champlain aboard the Spirit of Ethan Allen, immersing yourself in captivating stories and picturesque panoramas.

Day 4

Burlington – Stowe – White Mountains – North Conway

Indulge in local delights at Lake Champlain Chocolates, sampling artisan ice cream and decadent chocolates like sea salt caramels and dark chocolate truffles. Then, venture to Stowe, Vermont, renowned for skiing and fall foliage. Discover the von Trapp family's history and explore the picturesque downtown with your Travel Director. Participate in the Raven Wildlife Program, gaining insights into local ecology and the vibrant hues of autumn foliage.

Day 5

North Conway - Kancamagus Highway - North Conway

In the morning, take to one of the most beautiful and well-known foliage destinations in New England – the Kancamagus Highway. Known to locals as ‘The Kanc’, this area offers scenic views for miles and this morning will be dedicated to seeking out the best spots for incredible views of the renowned autumn foliage. The afternoon, join a guided hike to Diana's Baths, a collection of small waterfalls amongst the White Mountain National Forest. If the guided hike isn't your thing, enjoy exploring North Conway at leisure with its shops and restaurants.

Day 6

North Conway – Bar Harbour

Depart from the White Mountains and make your way into Maine’s pine forests and onwards to Bar Harbour on Mount Desert Island. In the evening you’ll join your group for a traditional lobster dinner and learn more about the process of lobster fishing from a local fisherman.

Day 7

Bar Harbour - Acadia National Park - Bar Harbour

Experience the majesty of Acadia National Park with its dramatic coastal panoramas. Ascend Cadillac Mountain, the Atlantic Seaboard's highest peak and the country's sunrise pioneer. Marvel at the 360-degree vista encompassing the park and its coastal splendour. Witness the stunning pink granite cliffs and ancient maple forests, ablaze with autumnal hues of crimson, gold, and amber. Return to Bar Harbor for leisure or opt for a nature cruise on Frenchman Bay. Later, delve into Indigenous traditions with a Wabanaki storyteller at the Bar Harbor Historical Society.

Day 8

Bar Harbour – Kennebunkport - Rockport

Take a coastal excursion today along Maine’s coast with a journey along Highway 1 past the fisheries of the seaside towns where you will also make a stop at the iconic Nubble Lighthouse. You’ll journey south towards Portsmouth for your overnight stay this evening, a distinctive location which sits on the Piscataqua River. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner with your group to commemorate your trip.

Day 9

Portsmouth – Boston

Take your transfer back to Boston Logan International Airport for your departing flight home.
