Tips for your Visit

A truly spectacular place to visit.  What will you take away with a lasting memory...?  If you can try to do as many of our suggestions as you possibly can to make the very most of this once in a lifetime visit:

Most of the action is centred at the South Rim of the Canyon, off Highway 67, in the Grand Canyon Village Historic District, free shuttles take you around.

The north Rim is quieter and you can enjoy your solitude

Stay at the Grand Canyon West ranch, a working cattle ranch, and really absorb the Wild West!

Expect to see Elk and deer around the trails in the park

To truly appreciate the enormity of the Grand Canyon, consider taking a “flight-seeing tour”

Hike the trail; choose the Bright Angel Trail which takes you down into the Canyon

Take a shuttle around the rim of the Canyon

Or for something a bit different, take a mule down; unnervingly the mules walk to the edge of the pathway as for some reason it reassures them in the same way humans would hug the wall side of a thin pathway.

Native American culture is very much a part of the Grand Canyon experience and there are a number of opportunities to watch traditional dance and hear tribal folklore.

River Rafting Adventures on the Colorado River get booked up very quickly, please give your Tropical Sky consultant plenty of notice, so that they can help you plan your Grand Canyon Adventure
