San Francisco, without doubt one of the USA’s most amazing cities. The beautiful ’City of the Bay’ has so many unique highlights, including the picturesque harbour, the famous Golden Gate Bridge, the ’Crookiest Street in the world’ and colourful Chinatown. A wedding here can be as personalised as you would like it to be, in a variety of locations, including City Hall or even on the famous Bridge itself!

Your wedding can be just the way you like it, from your choice of the kind of ceremony to your choice of any of the stunning iconic locations and venues. There is no minimum residency period in San Francisco. Renewal of vows and commitment ceremonies are also available.

Famous suggested wedding venues include:

Palace of the Legion of Honour: A gorgeous museum, built Grecian-style, with Rodin’s ‘Thinker’ gracing the open area. Ceremonies there have a background of the Marin Hills and the famous Golden Gate Bridge.

Japanese Gardens, Golden Gate Park: A small walled garden with beautifully tended walks, wooden bridges, fountains and calm ponds with Koi carp. A lovely tranquil setting, ideal for photographs.

Golden Gate Bridge: There is a visitor viewing area of the bridge with a close up view of the span and of Alcatraz and the San Francisco bay.

City Hall: City Hall is a superb domed building, built in the Renaissance style, and site of some of San Francisco’s finest moments, including the marriage of Marilyn Monroe to Joe DiMaggio in 1954.

Palace of Fine Arts: The Palace of Fine Arts has been a favourite wedding location for couple throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. It is located in the Marina district and has Egyptian-style buildings, a fountain and lake. It has often been used as a backdrop for movies.

Baker Beach: A quiet beach that ends just underneath the Golden Gate Bridge. It has a view looking upward at the bridge and is normally a very quiet spot and excellent for those backdrop photographs.
