Day 1-2

FLY FROM THE UK - SEATTLE
Arrive in Seattle, located beautifully between the Cascade Mountains and the deep blue sea. Enjoy the first day by touring around Seattle, said to be one of Americans’ favorite cities. You might want to wander the waterfront, catch the sunset from atop the famous Space Needle. The next day enjoy a quiet morning having breakfast at one of the local restaurants then after, spend the day visiting local shops in Seattle.

Day 3

SEATTLE - PORT ANGELES / OLYMPIC NP (137 miles)
On your drive to Port Angeles, you will be passing through the Olympic Peninsula, a scenic wilderness area extending from glacier-clad mountains to ocean shore. Here you can explore one of the largest and most beautiful rain forests in North America. Continue driving around the peninsula to Port Angeles. Port Angeles has been called “The Center Of It All” on the Olympic Peninsula. It is a modern community, rich in cultural events, history and diversity.

Day 4

PORT ANGELES / OLYMPIC NP - ASTORIA (212 miles)
Today you will drive around the peninsula through Lake Quinault, located in the heart of the Olympic National Forest. Enjoy some extra time this morning in the forest before continuing south to Astoria. You will pass by marvelous beaches and a short detour will enable you to visit an ancient Indian village. On the way, you have a possibility for a detour onto Long Beach Peninsula where you can find the single longest stretch of uninterrupted sandy coastline in the western US.

Day 5

ASTORIA - NEWPORT / COOS BAY (240 miles)
The drive along the Oregon Coast passes countless small beach towns, long washes of beach punctuated by wonderful rocky points and sea stacks just off shore, and more than 20 state parks. You will pass by Sea Lion Cave, a cavern filled with hundreds of sea lions and be driving by the Oregon Dunes National Recreation area with esturaries and lots of sand. You could tour the Tillamook factory, famous for the more than 18 million kilos of cheese it produces annually.

Day 6

NEWPORT / COOS BAY - CRATER LAKE NP (250 miles)
Today you will drive inland again to Crater Lake National Park, containing the deepest lake in the United States. The rim drive offers spectacular views of the deep blue circulare lake.

Day 7

CRATER LAKE NP - BEND (245 miles)
Today’s relatively short route gives you plenty of time to visit the Lava Lands and Newberry National Volcanic Monument before arriving in Bend.

Day 8-9

BEND - PORTLAND (220 miles)
On the way to Portland you will have plenty of time to visit the Warm Springs Indian Reservation, the Columbia River Gorge as well as Mount Hood and the Hood River. Two days gives you enough time to explore Portland, one of the most delightful cities in America. Wander through the downtown area with its many wonderful neighborhoods.

Day 10

PORTLAND - YAKIMA (190 miles)
Winery-hopping in the Yakima Valley is an unforgettable journey of discovery for those seeking great wines. Across this sun-soaked region, in the same latitude as the great wine-producing regions of France, magnificent vineyards feature trellises laden with rich grape varietals. You’ll often encounter winery family members in the tasting room delighted to recommend the best wine to enjoy with regional cuisine and learn about the winemaking process.

Day 11

YAKIMA - WENATCHEE (110 miles)
This short drive today allows for two options. Enjoy a quiet morning at Mount Rainier before heading towards Wenatchee or if you opt to travel directly from Yakima, will pass by the U.S. Military Reserve Yakima Firing Center before you travel through the Wenatchee National Forest to get to Wenatchee.

Day 12

WENATCHEE - SEATTLE (150 miles)
Enjoy a quiet morning visiting the tiny town of Cashmere. It is a treasure chest of regional flavors. The town still has twenty original buildings dating from the early 1800’s showcasing Pioneer Life. Visit Leavenworth, which was originally a railroad and sawmill town. It is a nice place to stop for lunch before arriving back into Seattle where your trip comes to an end.
