Day 1

Fly from the UK to Calgary
Pick your your car rental and drive to Banff, drive is approximately 1 1/2 hours.
Overnight: Banff Caribou Lodge (free parking)

Day 2

Banff
Spend your day exploring Banff and the surrounding area, ideas for today include a trip on the Banff Gondola, a visit to the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel or a boat trip on Lake Minnewanka. This evening enjoy the numerous restaurant and bars of Banff.

Day 3

Banff to Lake Louise
Banff to Lake Louise is only a 1 hour drive. Don’t rush there is plenty to see on the way, try Johnston Canyon for a hike to see the waterfalls. Further on the route to Lake Louise you can turn off the main road situated 14 kilometres outside Lake Louise and take in Moraine Lake...simply stunning! Tonight you stay in Lake Louise, a visit to the Fairmont Lake Louise is a must, why not upgrade your hotel and stay in this amazing property overlooking the Lake.

Day 4

Lake Louise to Jasper
Enjoy the drive through Banff and Jasper national parks via the Icefields Parkway. Among the highlights are Bow Lake, the Columbia Icefield and Athabasca Falls. The Columbia Icefield is one of the largest accumulations of ice south of the Arctic Circle and one of the most accessible icefields in North America. Without stops the drive is approximately 3 hours....with photo opportunities and wildlife viewing this enjoyable journey will take most of the day.

Day 5

Jasper National Park
Jasper National Park is a World Heritage Site and Canada’s largest National Park. Today enjoy the many natural attractions, rugged peaks, and perhaps even catch a glimpse of some of the many creatures that call this mountain park home. The day is free for you to explore more of Jasper, the hotel is ideally situated close to the Rail station and the car rental depot, we recommend dropping your car this afternoon before 5pm (office closes at 5pm) there is a one-way drop off fee of approximately $175.

Day 6

All Aboard! Jasper to Kamloops
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Jasper in the Canadian Rockies to Kamloops, in the heart of the British Columbia Interior. As you journey west and south you will be surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide and by the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo
Mountains. Today’s highlights include Mount Robson, Pyramid Falls, the climb over Yellowhead Pass, and the journey along the North Thompson River as you approach Kamloops.

Day 7

Kamloops to Vancouver
Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’s journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the Interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening.

Vancouver / Alaska Cruise
Today you check out of your hotel and independently transfer to the Vancouver cruise terminal where you board the Celebrity Century and are welcomed by the crew who will be your hosts for the next 7 nights. Familiarize yourself with amenities of the ship and watch the sun set over the water from the wide decks of this magnificent craft. Overnight on board the Celebrity Century. Dinner included.

Day 10

Inside Passage
The ship weighs anchor and sets sail this morning for one of the most famously beautiful passages in all the world. Just beyond the deck rails, the gems of Alaska are laid open in a spellbinding vista, including rain forests, glaciers, fjords and white-capped peaks. Along the way it is common to view whales and sea lions at play along the coastlines as well as a near countless assortment of marine bird life.

Day 11

Icy Strait Point
Eighty kilometres west of Juneau and at the mouth of Glacier Bay, lies the historic Icy Strait Point. Travelers have the unique opportunity to experience Tlingit culture, superior wildlife viewing opportunities and years of Alaskan history on optional excursions offered by Celebrity Cruises. Watch the sun set against the dramatic landscape as the ship anchors off the point for the night. Overnight on board the Celebrity Century. Full board included.

Day 12

Hubbard Glacier
Hubbard Glacier is the one glacier in the world that does not move at a glacial pace. In 1986, Hubbard Glacier - the largest tidewater glacier on the North American continent - moved an average of just under 2 metres per hour. Keep a watchful eye as the ship sails through the Yakutat Bay as the geological history unfolds before you. Overnight on board the Celebrity Century. Full board included.

Day 13

Port of Juneau
Where the legacy of the tin pan prospector meets eco-adventure tourism of tomorrow would be a good way to describe the charms of Alaska’s capital city. Here the pioneering spirit lives on in an interesting mix of cosmopolitan chic and frontier ruggedness. There are many places to visit in port including Alaska State Museum and its exquisite collection of Russian Orthodox and Gold Rush relics, or take advantage of optional excursions offered by Celebrity Cruises.

Day 14

Port of Ketchikan
Today you cruise down the coast to arrive in the town of Ketchikan - the ancestral home of the Tlingit tribe. This community with strong ties to its aboriginal past is also the departure point for Celebrity Cruise’s optional seaplane excursions into the Misty Fjords National Monument and its 8 900 km2 of pristine wilderness. Ketchikan also boasts the world’s largest collection of totem poles you can explore independently , or you may visit the Saxman Native Village, Totem
Bight and Totem Heritage Center.

Day 15

Inside Passage
Today the ship slowly retraces its voyage along the Alaskan and British Columba coastlines. Watch how the landscape slowly and subtly changes as you descend into the more southern and warmer climate of the Pacific Northwest temperate area.

Vancouver
Early this morning you arrive in the port of Vancouver and disembark the Celebrity Century. You transfer individually to Vancouver’s International Airport in time to check in for your return flight.
