Details

Day 1

Washington, D.C.

Arrive into Washington, D.C. and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day can be spent exploring and sightseeing at your own pace before heading back to the hotel for 6pm to attend a welcome reception with your tour guide and group.

Overnight: Renaissance Washington, D.C. Downtown

Day 2

Washington, D.C.

Today sees you join a local specialist to view the White House, the Washington Monument and the National Mall, along with the Lincoln Memorial and the World War II Memorial. The rest of the day is at leisure so you could take a trip to one of the Smithsonian Institution’s museums, wander around the Dupont Circle neighbourhood or go shopping.

Overnight: Renaissance Washington, D.C. Downtown

Day 3

Washington, D.C. – Philadelphia – New York City

Travel up the Atlantic seaboard to Philadelphia to walk in the footsteps of Benjamin Franklin, view Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. There’ll be time to explore the Independence National Historic Park on your own before moving on to New York City where you can hit Times Square before dinner at a Manhattan restaurant.

Day 4

New York City

Go sightseeing in the Big Apple this morning with a local specialist who will show you the top attractions, from the Empire State Building to Central Park and the mirrored Chrysler Building. Visit Battery Park with its views of the Statue of Liberty then take a ride to the ‘Top of the Rock’ for incredible views of the urban sprawl beneath you. The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to make the most of the city at your own pace.

New York City

You’ll have a whole day today to explore the city on your own, from the famous shops on 5th Avenue to the museums, galleries and parks.

Day 6

New York City – Newport – Boston

From one iconic city to another, journey from New York to Boston this morning with a stop en-route at Newport, a charming seaside town. Keep a lookout for the rows of Mansions along Ocean Drive before taking a tour of The Breakers – a 70-room Italianate palace Cornelius Vanderbilt called his ‘cottage’. After you’ve arrived in historic Boston, you’ll take a trip to a local brewery for a tour and beer tasting.

Boston

The whole day is at leisure today so make the most of the city with visits to some of the area’s most iconic sights, from Boston Common to Fenway Park for a Red Sox game or discovering the beautiful art on show at the galleries or museums. In the evening, attend a farewell dinner to bid farewell to the USA and your group.

Today marks the end of your trip – you’ll be transferred to the airport for your departing flight.
