Santa Marta, Columbia Arrive 8:00 am - Depart 5:00 pm
Santa Marta boasts a fine natural harbour and splendid views, but that’s only part of the reason the Spaniards chose it for their first settlement. Their choice was influenced by gold. The local Tairona indigenous communities were known for their goldsmith work.

Cartegena, Colombia Arrive 8:00am - Depart 5:00pm
Cartagena is located in Northwest Colombia, on the Bay of Cartagena in the Caribbean Sea. Cartagena is a port city noted for its main exports of oil, coffee, and platinum. Founded in 1533, Cartagena was used by the Spanish as a treasure city, a location where precious stones and minerals, mined in the New World, awaited shipment back to Spain.

Your cruise today takes you through the highlight of your trip; Panama Canal’s incredible 40-mile shortcut between the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean.

Acapulco - Arrive 2.00pm; overnight - Depart 12.30pm
This stop will give you an opportunity to learn about the history and culture of Acapulco. Stop at El Mirador, above La Quebrada, to enjoy a snack and drink while admiring the world-famous cliff divers. Marvel at the incredible beauty of the panoramic landscape and the bays of Acapulco and Puerto Marques. Continue to the outskirts of town and pass by one of two impressive hotels in the Acapulco Diamante hotel zone, the Acapulco Princess Hotel, constructed to resemble an Aztec Pyramid, or the Mayan Palace Hotel, built to resemble a Mayan Temple.

Day 13

Puerto Vallarta Arrive 10.00am - Depart 5.00pm
Take the opportunity to see the best of Puerto Vallarta including its Old Town, a visit to City Hall and the Cathedral of the Lady of Guadalupe. See Elizabeth Taylor and the late Richard Burton’s homes at Gringo Gulch and we pass the Conchas Chinas area too.

Day 14

Cabo San Lucas Arrive 7.30am - Depart 4.00pm
So much to see. Start by viewing the geographic beauty, the desert terrain, impressive coastline with rugged rock formations. Then be impressed by the local glass blowers at the glass factory. Continue on to San Jose del Cabo; stop at a cactus garden, then off to a restaurant for a drink.

Los Angeles Arrive 8.00am
Located in sunny Southern California, Los Angeles is a sprawling metropolis and the second largest city in the United States and known throughout the world as the largest producer of entertainment and media. This combined with its sunny climate, palm trees and sandy beaches make it a top tourist destination, attracting millions of visitors every year. Stay a few days longer or transfer individually to the airport for your flight back to the UK

Puntarenas – Arrive 7.00am – Depart 6.00pm
Located on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, Puntarenas is an eclectic seaside community that has a unique blend of cultural attractions. Originally founded by the Spanish Conquistador Fernandez de Cordova, the peninsula grew to be a very large exporting port for the international coffee trade. Local attractions include the town’s church, an art museum, and a local maritime history museum.

Puerto Quetzal – Arrive 7.00am – Depart 5.00pm
Explore this lovely area, perhaps heading into the highlands to see the modern-day Maya, visit Panajachel and enjoy a cruise on picturesque Lake Atitlan, or alternatively, the lowlands, for impressive views of volcanoes, a rural sugar plantation tour

Huatulco – Arrive Noon – Depart 6.00pm
Huatulco is located in the state of Oaxaca where the foothills of the Sierra Madre del Sur Mountains meet the Pacific Ocean approximately 500km south of Acapulco.
The Bays of Huatulco are actually made up of a series of nine bays and numerous small coves stretching along 15 miles of jagged coastline, including 36 white sandy beaches.
