Madame Tussauds Hollywood unveils first figures

When Madame Tussauds Los Angeles opens in summer 2009 it will be the first of the international chain’s museums to be built entirely from scratch, and will house more than 80 life-size waxwork figures.

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has just unveiled the first three figures to be included in the new museum - actor Jamie Foxx, singer Beyoncé Knowles and the recently deceased Mayor of Hollywood, Johnny Grant.

Having a wax figure created in your honour at Madame Tussauds Hollywood will soon be considered a badge of honour for the Tinseltown A-list. Visitors will not only be able to see their favourite celebs up close, but the figures at Madame Tussauds Hollywood will also be able to be touched and approached for photo opps.
