Day 1

With a daytime flight, your journey to Calgary puts you at the gateway to the Rockies. Overnight: Delta Bow Valley

Day 2

Visit some of the main attractions Calgary can offer on this day at leisure in the Olympic city and gateway to the Canadian Rockies. Overnight: Delta Bow Valley

Day 3

It’s all aboard this morning for the Rocky Mountaineer. No ordinary train, its picture windows give you moving panoramas of soaring snow-capped mountains, cascading waterfalls, forested canyons and fast flowing rivers. And when the scenery is simply too superb to see at speed, the train slows down for photo opportunities. Enroute you’ll pass Mount Robson the highest peak in the Rockies. On arrival at Kamloops, we transfer you to your hotel. Overnight: Comfort Inn / Sandman / Thompson Inn or similar

Day 4

Reboard the train for day two of its journey, which follows the whitewater rush of the Thompson River, cuts through the steep sided Fraser Canyon and passes the immeasurably thundering waters surging through Hell’s Gate gorge. The scenery is complemented by superb service aboard the train and the comfort of reclining seats. We reach the end of the iron road in the Pacific Rim city of Vancouver for a two night stay. Overnight: Delta Suites

Day 5

Perhaps the most stunning city setting in the world, cosmopolitan Vancouver sits beside a natural harbour, with majestic mountains at its back and the ocean at its feet. There are great shopping venues here and, as you have a full day at leisure, there is ample opportunity for exploration too. Take a walk in Stanley Park, absorb the atmosphere of Gastown and Chinatown, and cross the Lion’s Gate Bridge to Capilano Park with its century old suspension bridge.Overnight: Delta Suites

Day 6

Your morning is your own in this scenic city for last minute souvenir shopping or sightseeing, until we transfer to the cruise ship Norwegian Wind, for her early evening sailing. (Lunch and Dinner included) Aboard Norwegian Wind

Day 7

A maze of islands crowd the edges of the Inside Passage, where bald eagles soar above the water, sea lions can
often be seen by the shores, and whales are a wonderful highlight of many a wildlife watch. Northward bound into ever more spectacular settings, Norwegian Wind becomes a floating resort to keep you entertained when the sun has gone down. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included) Aboard Norwegian Wind

Day 8

Wedged between the steep forests of Deer Mountain and the deep waters of the Tongass Narrows, Ketchikan is a character town with a frontier atmosphere. It’s most famous for its Tlingit totem poles, with Saxman Totem Park housing the world’s largest standing collection of them. We arrive here early this morning and offer a range of optional excursions. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included) Aboard Norwegian Wind

Day 9

A day of contrasts begins with a visit to the state capital, Juneau, where you could take a tram to the top of Mt. Roberts or enjoy the shops and atmosphere of the old town. (Breakfast Lunch and Dinner included) Aboard Norwegian Wind

Day 10

It started as a single log cabin, burgeoned in the Gold Rush of the late 1890’s, and is now a town of 20,000 inhabitants. There’s time for an optional trip on the historic White Pass & Yukon railway during your visit today. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included) Aboard Norwegian Wind

Day 11

Today we experience the total tranquility of the Sawyer Glacier, surrounded by snow-capped mountains at the end of Tracy Arm Fjord. Seabirds, seals, sea lions and porpoises all have their home in the region. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included) Aboard Norwegian Wind

Day 12

We wind our way southward through the Inside Passage, watching for humpback and orca whales, and enjoying our final full day amid the amazing glacier scenery. Tonight, enjoy a final show in the ship’s entertainment lounge. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included) Aboard Norwegian Wind

Day 13

Disembark this morning in Vancouver and enjoy some time at leisure before transferring to the airport for your overnight return flight (Breakfast included) or for your ownward tailor made journey
